Getting Thai permanent residency

“…The one category that applies to many foreigners is for those who are married to a Thai or have a Thai child.”
I obtained Thai ‘PR’ some 25 years ago, and I recall well that at the interview (officer spoke perfect English and much of the interview was in English) the officer mentioned that PR Is specifically / dominantly about the applicant and whether the applicant is a person suitable to hold Thai PR status.
The officer did also mention that, in the scoring system, the applicant will get a very small score if married to a Thai / or has Thai children, but this factor is not a dominant factor in gaining the PR approval.

May 7, 2020 5:28 am ·Yes, you are right but I also have permanent residency and I know EXACTLY how points are calculated. I can tell you that 10 points are for children.
There is nothing misleading in this article. It is just written that there are 5 categories and since 25 years, maybe things have changedÉ? I got mine 5 years ago….Sebastian from Isaan Lawyers.
